The short version
Before first use: sterilise your cup in boiling water for 3 minutes (tip: rest it inside a whisk so it doesn't touch the pot).
Insert: wash hands, fold the cup into a U-shape, insert with the folded side first, and take your time to find the right position — feel a bit, twist, and rotate. The cup opens and creates a vacuum, so it stays securely in place.
Wear: up to 12 hours depending on your flow.
Remove: pinch the base of the cup with thumb and index finger to release the vacuum, remove by the stem, and empty into the toilet.
Clean: rinse with cold water first, then wash with warm. Reinsert.
After your period: sterilise by boiling 5–10 minutes and store in the breathable bag.
Important safety information: empty your cup at least every 12 hours. Menstrual cups have been associated with a very small number of cases of Toxic Shock Syndrome (TSS). If you experience sudden high fever, vomiting, rash, dizziness or fainting during use, remove the cup and seek medical attention immediately. If you have an IUD, talk to your doctor before using a cup.
